Some projects begin quietly, without making too much noise.
Spineda is one of them.

We have always believed in the value of small vineyard parcels: places capable of expressing a distinctive character, which our work seeks first to recognise and then to enhance, vintage after vintage.
Spineda comes from a small vineyard, behind Villa Spineda in Venegazzù. With its iron-rich clay soils, this is a parcel we have always considered special, and one to which we decided to devote our full attention in order to create a truly unique selection.
Produced in very limited quantities, Spineda was conceived with the ambition of expressing the identity of this place as precisely as possible, while standing alongside some of the great international expressions of Merlot.

We are naturally very pleased with the recognition it has received: Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso, 96/100 from James Suckling and Top Wine from Slow Wine. But our greatest satisfaction comes from seeing an idea we deeply believe in being recognised: that certain vineyard parcels have something special to say, and that our role is to recognise it and interpret it with care, giving life to wines with a character all their own.
